Sara Rooney is a Naturopathic Physician & Research Scientist who specialises in women and childrens health and she helps her clients to identify the underlying causes of their health problems and treat them effectively with safe and proven naturopathic medicines and formulas. Sara has a medical and health science background as well as extensive qualifications in naturopathic medicine – knowledge gained from over 20 years of formal study at universities and colleges. Sara specialises in the field of science-based integrative medicine and has a special interest in endocrinology (hormonal system) and disease prevention from childhood to adulthood. Therefore, she has an extensive knowledge of hormonal and metabolic disorders including menopause, fatigue, depression, PMS, infertility, PCOS, weight gain and other problems caused by hormonal imbalances as well as years of clinical experience helping her clients prevent the onset of disease through healthy eating, correct supplementation (for their individual requirements) and optimum lifestyle practices. PreConception care to help ensure the optimum health of future babies as well as natural treatment programs for infertility are also offered. In childrens health care, Sara specialises in Autism, Asperger’s, eczema, asthma, chronic ear infections and digestive system problems.

Sara Rooney is a double degree-qualified practitioner that is trained in the medical and health sciences, naturopathic health care, clinical nutrition and counselling. Sara has over 18 years of clinical experience in family naturopathic health care and specialises in women and children’s health. She is also a lecturer, professional writer and consultant to the natural health industry.
Sara has a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of New England, a Degree with Distinction in Science (Zoology) from the University of New England, An Advanced Diploma in Applied Science (Naturopathy), a Diploma in Counselling, as well as other health-related qualifications from over 20 years of formal study. Sara has run a Successful Wellbeing Clinic Since 1993 and is also a lecturer in the field of naturopathic health. Her broad scientific knowledge gives her the ability to develop highly effective treatment programs for each of her clients and also allows her to assist people with disease prevention through specialized wellbeing programs. When treating disease, there is always a strong focus on identifying the underlying causes of illness – not just treating the superficial symptoms. This method of treatment helps ensure that her clients achieve permanent solutions to their problems – Not just temporary relief of their symptoms.
Sara treats each of her clients individually and she takes the time to understand their unique problems in order to provide them with the most accurate and up to date health care advice. In addition to being well qualified in the mainstream medical & health sciences, as well as in naturopathic health care, Sara’s broad range of qualifications and knowledge also includes scientific research at university into the most effective naturopathic treatments of systemic inflammatory disorders such as cancer, cardiovascular disease, arthritis and diabetes. As systemic inflammation plays such a large role in so many diseases, it was the field of research chosen by Sara for post graduate scientific research and her thesis. Sara is currently involved in ongoing research in the treatment of hormonal imbalances using herbal medicines. Therefore, Sara is well trained in the medical and health sciences but she treats her clients as a Naturopathic physician. She understands the best pathology tests for each disease condition as well as the safest, most effective herbal medicines, nutrient supplements, or other treatments for each of her clients and their unique biochemistry.
Sara is also the author of ‘Are Your Hormones Driving You Mad?’ This book describes how people can achieve natural hormonal balance safely and effectively, without having to make radical life changes. It’s the first book of its kind to educate people about the underlying causes of hormonal disorders such as Menopause, PMS, PCOS, and many other endocrine conditions and shows readers how they can quickly and easily reverse their imbalances permanently.
Her extensive scientific background combined with many years of cumulative knowledge in naturopathic health care has put her at the forefront in the naturopathic field of medicine in Australia as well as being recognized internationally for her academic contributions. Sara is a member of the prestigious Golden Key International Honour Society – where membership is by invitation only to the top 15% of academics across all university faculties throughout the world and she is also a member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society.
As Sara has a strong scientific background, she prescribes evidence-based naturopathic formulas. Therefore, her clients can trust that their treatments have been scientifically proven to be safe and effective. Jade is a qualified remedial massage therapist and has been at our centre since 2007. Jade has a Diploma in remedial massage as well as certificates in Lymphatic drainage massage and Myofascial massage. Jade offers remedial massage, deep tissue therapy, lymphatic drainage, myofascial massage and Chinese cupping techniques.
