2013: BIG APPETITES FOR ANTIDEPRESSANTS

Australian doctors dole out more antidepressants than almost any other rich country, according to a new OECD report that confirms antidepressant prescriptions have soared over the last decade.

Earlier this year an Australian study found a dramatic 93.5% increase in dispensing of antidepressants despite their problematic effects.

See the study here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23144164

There are a range of underlying conditions that can cause depression so consult your naturopathic physician or doctor to arrange the appropriate tests to identify the cause of your depression – which may avoid the need for antidepressants.
