BIG PHARMA ACCUSED OF PUTTING LIVES AT RISK

‘The Age’ published some disturbing news yesterday regarding the potential conflicts of interest and corruption in the pharmaceutical industry that may be putting millions of lives at risk.

‘The Age’ article stated that:

“Patients are being deceived into taking drugs they don’t need, that don’t work or may put lives at risk, according to a scathing review of the influence big drug companies have on healthcare”.

Drug companies ”masterfully influenced” medicine, a joint review by Australian, British and US researchers has found, describing how the enormous profit involved in making and selling drugs gave the industry power to influence every stage of the health system.

”As a result of these interferences, the benefits of drugs and other products are often exaggerated and their potential harms are downplayed,” their research, published in the European Journal of Clinical Investigation, found.

The article illustrates how BIG PHARMA influences many doctors and the rest of the medical field; governments and the rest of the world and how this might be damaging people’s health every day.

If you know anyone taking pharmaceutical drugs, especially those named in the article (e.g. anti-diabetic drugs that cause heart attacks) – they may want to get a 2^nd opinion about safe and effective alternatives by consulting a qualified naturopath or naturopathic physician who will assess their individual needs and prescribe the best possible treatment plan for their patients biologically–unique body (and not just prescribe ‘a pill for an ill’).
