THE CAUSE OF DEPRESSION

FROM 20+ YEARS OF CONSULTING IN THE HEALTH FIELD, I’VE FOUND DEPRESSION CAN HAVE MANY CAUSES.

IT CAN BE PURELY PSYCHOLOGICAL (UNDERLYING FEAR, FRUSTRATION, ANGER OR RESENTMENT OR SIMPLY FROM YOUR LIFE BEING OUT OF BALANCE – TOO MUCH WORK AND NOT ENOUGH PLAY AND RELAXATION) ………OR IT CAN BE PHYSIOLOGICAL (HORMONAL IMBALANCE, HIGH TOXIN LEVELS, NUTRIENT DEFICIENCIES OR OTHER NUTRITIONAL CAUSES, DYSBIOSIS (GUT FLORA IMBALANCES), OR A LARGE NUMBER OF OTHER GENETIC, BIOCHEMICAL OR METABOLIC IMBALANCES).

RECENTLY, AUSTRALIAN RESEARCHERS FOUND A LINK BETWEEN DIABETES AND DEPRESSION AND RECOMMEND THAT PEOPLE WITH DEPRESSION SHOULD BE TESTED FOR DIABETES.

THIS STUDY ALSO DEMONSTRATES THE LINK BETWEEN DEPRESSION AND DIET: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-11-11/study-investigates-diet-treatment-for-depression/4365270?section=vic

TO FIND OUT THE UNDERLYING CAUSE OF ‘YOUR’ DEPRESSION, CONSULT A NATUROPATHIC PRACTITIONER OR YOUR DOCTOR.
